Here are some wise words for encouragement

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”

C4 Program 2014

Any Year 10 student enrolled at Alfred Deakin, Melrose, Stromlo, Telopea Park, Campbell or Lyneham high schools who has an interest in the building and construction industry can apply for the C4 program. This program is run by the Master Builders Association and provides students with the opportunity to combine their Year 10 high school education with practical training in the building and construction industry in a safe and supportive environment. The C4 program is an Australian School based Apprenticeship program.

There are only 12 positions available for all the above mentioned schools. To secure a spot on the program your child will need to participate in a lengthy application process which will involve writing a resume and attending an interview. At Stromlo we will assist your child in this process. Students and parent must be aware that contracts of employment will be signed if students are successful at gaining a place in the program. It is important that students have the full support of parents or significant family member. Students must be committed to travelling to MBA Skills Centre at Fyshwick for the 1x3 and 1x2 week skills training sessions in Terms 2 & 3, and to work on site for a 2 week work placement in Term 4.
